Little Amal is walking from the Turkey Syria border to Manchester between July – November 2021. #thewalk is a travelling festival of art in support of refugee’s bringing together cultural organisations, community groups and humanitarian organisations across Europe.

Join artists Zo Defferary and Frazer Doyle
Join us to welcome Amal to Dover on Wednesday 20th October at 6pm in Pencester Gardens, Dover CT16, where 500 star lanterns will gather for an extraordinary procession to Dover Castle. Little Amal, a giant 3.5m puppet of a refugee child is crossing Europe to highlight the plight of child refugees.
Leaving at 6.15pm, the procession will slowly wind its way to Dover Castle, where over the course of the evening a new lighthouse created by UV Lab will be illuminated by the lantern stars.
This is a free event.
