Student Makers Market Thursday 15th August Canterbury City Centre

Our biggest market yet – 32 young people took part selling exquisite hand made products from flower crowns to fine art prints and silver jewellery to honey!

We weren’t sure whether there would be no students left in the city to take part this month – but as well as our local students the market also attracted young school student makers who could take part in the summer holidays, our youngest trader unexpectedly turned out to be   years old!

Excellent and busy training session took place this month with presentations from Canterbury Market, Jasmine Hodge, Bob jones and David Lilford from the Lilford Gallery, a second evening session by David Lilford helped all of our traders learn some professional techniques for customer service and sales.

The School for Creative Start Ups also had a stall at the market to advertise their new course starting in Folkestone in November.
