On a fabulously sunny Saturday by the sea our Grayson Perry inspired Student Makers Market took place at the beautiful Turner Contemporary.
A huge array of work a from many talented young designers was on sale from fine art to clothing, jewellery to screen prints. The market took place alongside Grayson Perry’s Provincial Punk exhibition.
Alongside the Student Makers Market, Robert Sanders showcased
‘YOUth’ his new collection of menswear.
Robert created his own world at two interactive Fashion Shows in the Learning Studio, Roberts live art event explores theme’s of gender, childhood and fashion – clothing viewed as ‘housing’ and ‘architecture, protecting the wearer. At the end of the show Robert took questions from the audience and explained every detail of his work.
He also ran a workshop on the morning of the market combining elements of pattern cutting, architecture, sculpture and fashion. ‘I like to make people think about the interaction between people and what they are choosing to wear, or be worn by.’
